Translation software for language translators and students.

OmegaT is a translation help program, a specialized CAT (computer aided translation) program aimed at use by professional language translation, although anyone can make good use of it.

Apart from being free and open source, OmegaT has gained some popularity among the translation community by providing effective support in the search for approximate or partial coindicences in the text translation. To do this, OmegaT uses different translation memories, working with different languages??: Spanish, English, German, Italian, French, Portuguese, Catalan, Polish, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, etc.

OmegaT can be used with non-Latin alphabets (Unicode UTF-8), and even translating text from right to left. In addition, OmegaT is compatible with other translation memory programs.

NOTE: To use Windows OmegaT, you need to have Java Runtime Environment.
